Whereas nekorio video is a series of video essays that argue original ideas, short-form videos can be made uploaded to all the shorts platforms and the Shorts section of @nekoriovideo on YouTube that simply retell stories such as United States of America v. Aaron Swartz.

Topic/niche focus (internet culture etc), ease of creation, and distinctive mood/atmosphere can set the shorts series apart.

old promotion script for the, at the time, “anime piracy episode”

Piracy is the number one way to consume anime in today’s world, while animators in Japan remain horribly overworked and underpaid.

But it may not be all bad—anime thieves were vital to the medium’s growth from the ’80s to the 2000s.

But anime piracy is now a million-dollar industry despite Japan’s best efforts—is eradicating it even possible? Will doing so even fix the issues the industry faces?

If you want to see how this all makes sense, watch my full video, "", on YouTube.
